IJMSA is managed and published by the Japan Society of Microgravity Application (JASMA), which was established in 1983. The journal’s primary source of revenue is publication charges paid by authors.

History

IJMSA originated from the Journal of the Japan Society of Microgravity Application, which has long contributed to the advancement of its members’ activities by publishing original research papers and articles on theoretical studies, experimental investigations, techniques, and equipment development that enhance research in microgravity applications, as well as findings across diverse academic disciplines. In 2013, the journal was reorganized as an international publication and renamed IJMSA.

Aims and Scope

IJMSA aims to advance scientific knowledge and technological innovation by providing a platform for high-quality research in microgravity and related space environments. The journal publishes original research papers, review articles that address theoretical studies, experimental investigations, methodologies, and equipment development. Its scope encompasses a wide range of interdisciplinary fields, including fluid sciences, crystal growth, physical chemistry, materials science, biological sciences, combustion science, and engineering. IJMSA seeks to foster collaboration across disciplines and promote the application of microgravity research to fundamental science and practical technologies.
