SCOPE

International Symposium on Physical Sciences in Space (ISPS) coordinated by International Microgravity Science Strategic Planning Group (IMSPG)* is an international and interdisciplinary scientific forum to foster international research projects by sharing physical science research outputs and plans on the ISS.  In the symposium, not only outstanding results of ISS experiments over a decade, including precursor experiments with drop towers, parabolic aircraft flights, sounding rockets, unmanned recoverable capsules, but also future plans will be also presented and discussed.

International Conference on Two-Phase Systems for Space and Ground Applications (ITTW), organized by International Topical Team concerning liquid-vapor two-phase behaviors and heat transfer has been held in the Workshop style since 2006. ITTW is intended to provide great chances for researchers to exchange knowledge and information and to identify needs for collaborative researches in the present area encompassing several scientific and technological disciplines.

The Joint Conference of 6th ISPS and 10th ITTW (ISPS-6_ITTW2015) organized by JASMA (The Japan Society of Microgravity Application) and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) will be held in 14-18 September, 2015 at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan. In addition to the academic presentations, representatives from space agencies introduce their long-term plans and research capabilities. “Mohri poster session”, a student poster session, will be another highlight. In order to facilitate mutual understanding for the latest advances and future plans in the field, more keynote lectures and less parallel sessions are planned.

Official language is English.

* IMSPG is an interagency meeting organized by the ISS (International Space Station) partner agencies. Main purpose of the meeting is to maximize science outputs from physical science researches on the ISS through international cooperation. In accordance with expansion of research communities, Asian countries are also invited to join IMSPG meetings.
