MPND2007 (Kyoto)

International Symposium on Materials Processing of Nanostructured Devices for Sustainable Energy System (MPND2007)
Background
The International Symposium on Materials Processing of Nanostructured Devices for Sustainable Energy System (MPND2007) will be held October 20-21, 2007, at Kyoto University, Japan. It will be organized as a pre-conference to the 3rd International Symposium on Physical Sciences in Spaces (ISPS 2007, Oct. 22-26, Nara, Japan).

Scope of the symposium
The unique quantum physical and chemical properties inherent in nanostructured materials have been exploited by the energy conversion and storage field as well as in the microelectronics industry. If these remarkable materials find more widespread use, the appropriate processing technologies must be developed. Accordingly, the prime purpose of this symposium is to provide a forum for discussion of in-situ measurements as well as mathematical models of the relevant non-equilibrium reactions processes in which electrons, ions, radicals, and clusters interact at the surface of the substrate.
The gravitational strength or magnetic field effect is mainly focused in order to get the molecular level understanding of three-phase interfacial phenomena. Sustainable energy systems may be uniquely designed with the nanostructured catalytic electrode for energy conversion and storage devices by combining with solar power generation, hydrogen energy system, thermoelectric power generation and superconducting electric storage systems. The complexity of the present art warrants the creation of a new methodology to propel the exploitation of this fundamental frontier by developing interactions among a highly diversified interdisciplinary group of scientists that includes electrochemists, material scientists and plasma scientists. Social activities in traditional Kyoto are also planned.
We encourage submission of titles for oral or poster presentations no later than May 31st, 2007, to MPND2007 office. (Instructions for registration will be given at our web site on some later date.)
